Gus Walker

Producer, Engineer, Performer

Gus Walker is a Melbourne-based producer, engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist working across alternative and independent music. As frontman of Naarm band Paraquay and a frequent collaborator behind the scenes, Walker has developed a reputation for emotionally driven, expansive records that prioritise atmosphere, energy and performance.

Inspired by producers such as Daniel Lanois and Nick Launay, his approach combines room sound, analogue texture and live-feel recording techniques to create immersive and dynamic productions.

Growing up in Geelong, Walker began playing and recording music at a young age, performing in bands as singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist and engineer. This hands-on background shaped a collaborative production style that moves fluidly between technical precision and creative instinct.

Now based in Melbourne, Walker works across studio production, engineering and session performance, collaborating with emerging artists including Shock Corridor, Claude, Sofia, The Noise and Quality Used Cars, while also contributing to projects involving Australian icons Models and Hoodoo Gurus.
